Day 20 Nov 4 2025 (Dilijan, Armenia) Part 2 continued .... this post focussed on our visits to Haghartsin & Goshavank Monasteries & a well earned rest in our B & B guest house & a yummy home cooked dinner - Armenian style ! 

1) Hotel Accommodation (Dilijan, Armenia): our group 1 night stay in Green Garden B & B, Dilijan, Armenia, room tariff Rm150 (US$34.80), 2 single beds + Breakfast, owner was very hospitable & our group was treated with welcome drinks mainly fruit wine before our hotel check-in. 

2) Dilijan Roundabout, Armenia - Dilijan is a town in northern Armenia, known for its spa resorts & traditional craft workshops, the town is surrounded by the forests of Dilijan National Park, the Geological Museum & Art Gallery displays archaeological finds & international art. North of town, Haghartsin Monastery is a complex of stone churches, East is Goshavank Monastery known for its intricate khachkars or carved stones.  

3) Country roads take me home to the place where Haghartsin Monastery belongs ! 

4) Haghartsin is a medieval monastery located near the town of Dilijan in the Tavush Province of Armenia, built between the 10th > 13th century, it composed of three churches, St Gregory's, St Stephens & St Astvatsatsin as well as gavit & a refectory.  

5) Country roads take me home to the place where Goshavank Monastery belongs !

6) Goshavank Monastery, Dilijan National Park, Armenia - a 12th > 13th century Armenian monastery located in the village of Gosh in the Tavush Province of Armenia, the monastery which has remained in relatively good condition also houses one of the world's finest example of khachkar.  

7) Country roads take the herd of cows home to the place where it belongs ! Also for our group back to the Garden Green B & B for a good rest & a dinner after a hard day of visiting 3 monasteries !  

9) Home cooked Armenian style dinner (US$10 per pax) + fruit wine & juice drink in Garden Green B & B dining room with heater on for our group - yummy yummy taste, freshly prepared in a nearby kitchen !
