Europe (Tirana, Albania) May 2014

Total expenses incurred : E$33.50
Hostel: Hostel Albania (1 night) - E$10.00 (dorm)
Food & groceries: E$3.50
Bus: Tirana > Skopje - E$20.00

After visiting Podgorica, my next destination is Tirana, Albania. From the Podgorica bus station, I took mini buses to Ulcinj, Shkodra before arriving Tirana. The entire journey took 6-7 hrs due to the switching of buses along the way.

Tirana was an Ottoman town founded in 1614 and became the capital of Albania (an ex-Yugoslavia state) in 1920. The country was under a dictator's rule for 60 years from 1920-1980's . Tirana has a population of 350,000 people. Tirana is an interesting city for tourists to explore.
