Monaco is the 2nd smallest independent state in the world (after the Vatican). This tiny state is on the Mediterranean Sea surrounded by France and close to the Italian Riviera. Monaco is not an EU member but Euro is the sole currency.
Monte Carlo is a government district and not the capital of Monaco. The city attracts a lot of tourists & famous for it's casino, palace & castle. Monaco Grand Prix ( Formula One) is held annually in Monte Carlo. The latest models of sporty cars could be seen roaming the main streets in Monte Carlo.
Bus No 100 has regular services from Nice to Monte Carlo so it is easy to do a day trip from Nice.
