Bus: Skopje > Pristina > Skopje - E$5 x 2 = E$10.00
Food & groceries: E$5.00
There are regular mini buses (hourly basis) from Skopje to Pristina which takes about 2 hrs. Most tourists would prefer to visit Prizren rather than Pristina. However, buses to Prizren is less frequent. The Pristina bus station is about 0.5km from the city center. The city centre has erected a monument of Bill Clinton, ex-President of United States of America, probably because of US strong support to Kosovo in fighting for her independence from Serbia.
Kosovo was part of Ottoman empire from 1455-1912. The country was under UN administration in June 1999 and was declared independence from Serbia in Feb 2008. The main language is Albanian but English is widely spoken by the younger generation. Albanians dominate the population of Kosovo but there are minority Serbs living in Kosovo.
