D11 Wednesday April 22 2026 (Lougkou & Weifang Shandong) - my 1st day in Weifang, after our high speed train arrival & hotel check-in Weifang, today we made use of our available time & visited the Yang Jia Bu Park & a lunch / side visit to Dreamlike Watertown.
1) Hotel buffet breakfast (Rm13) in Vienna Hotel, Longkou, Shandong.
2) Longkou Railway Station, Shandong - took a high speed train (Rm41) from Longkou Railway station > Weifang (09.41 > 10.36).
3) Hotel Accommodation (Weifang, Shandong) - our group's 2 nights stay in Huaji Wenyue Hotel, Minzu Street; room tariff Rm73, twin sharing.

5) Yang Jia Bu, Weifang, Shandong - a historic cultural village renowned for its traditional Chinese woodblock New Year prints, a history spanning over 600 years, considered one of the birthplaces of folk art in China, visitors can explore workshops where artisans carve, ink, & print vibrant images symbolising prosperity & good fortunes, the area also features paper cutting, kite making & other handicrafts unique to the region, rich in heritage & color; some areas are currently under renovated, a bit deserted, not many visitors at the time of my visit, admission fee for adults CNY30, free admission for seniors above 70's.
6) Kites Museum, Yang Jia Bu, Weifang - shows the origin development of artistic features of Yangjiabu kites as well as its profound influence in China & abroad, Weifang kites represented by Yanjiabu kites was named as the National Intangible Cultural Heritage by the State Council of China in 2006.

6) Lunch with my travel buddies in a local restaurant near Yang Jia Bu Park - a treat from a local guy whom we acquainted in a nearby Dream Water Village scenic area.
7) Dreamlike Water Town, Weifang - rather deserted so just a quick visit !
8) Bus ride (CNY1) from the Yang Jia Bu Park back to our hotel for a rest.
9) Evening walk with my wife to the Culture Square & Commercial Street nearby our hotel in suburban Weifang & taobao (takeaway) a yang chow fried rice (CNY11 = Rm6.60) to be eaten in our hotel together with owned prepared fruit salad !
