1) Cherry blossoms in Kyoto, Japan (2010) - Spring time in Japan is magical when the cherry blossoms, flowering season in Kyoto starts in late march to late April, cherry blossoms flower profusely all over the areas from Togestsu-kyo bridge to Arashima-Nakanoshima park, best viewed at night
2) Volcanic field in Laohei Shan, Udalianchi, Heilongjiang Province, China (2015) - last eruption was in 1719-1721, youngest volcanic field in the mainland of Asia, the volcanic field contains 14 steep sided cinder cones surrounded by lava flow, covered an area of 500 sq km, Udalianchi means "5 connected pools" because of 5 scenic lava dammed lakes
3) Dead Sea, Jordan (2008) - Dead Sea is the lowest point in the world at 394.6m below seas level, the water in Dead Sea is extremely salty, Dead Sea salts & minerals have skin-friendly properties, it is nearly impossible to sink in the hyper salinated waters, Dead Sea is shrinking, the northern part received scarcely 100mm (4 inches) of rain a year
4) The stunning landscapes of Fjords Norway was created by a succession of ice ages and this hasn't changed much since the time when people started to live there. Western Norway is a region of narrow fjords cutting into tall mountains, of waterfalls cascading down mountain sides and of glaciers that never melt. In Fjords Norway, nature is part of the cities and the cities are part of the nature (2011)
