9) Going Chinese - following Dr Sun Yat-Sen heritage trail, a total of 15 historical sites are associated with Dr Sun Yat-Sen & his followers in Penang. It starts from the Sun Yat-Sen Museum.

Dr Sun Yat Sen Heritage Trail 

A) Dr Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Centre, 65, Macalister Road, Penang - this was the Sio Lan Teng Club, a Chinese merchant club where Dr Sun Yat-Sen made his first speech & stayed here when he first visited Penang in 1905.


B) 2 & 4 Chulia Street Ghaut (now The Press) - In 1910, Dr Sun Yat-Sen suggested the funding of the Kwong Wah Yit Poh and their first premises was at 120, Armenian Street, later moved to 16, Malay Street. However, In 1936 the Kwong Wah Yit Poh was moved to Chulia Street Ghaut. 


C) 25, Acheh Street - the former premises of Swee Hock Chan owned by Goh Say Eng family. Mr Goh together with Mr Ng Kim Kheng played host to Dr Sun Yat-Sen when he first visited Penang in 1905. Mr Goh was one of the founder of the Penang branch of Tongmenghui (China Revolutionary Alliance).
