1) Tulips in season - a beautiful & flowerful day ! I love taking pictures of flowers whenever I travel overseas !
2) HI (Hosteling International) Jail House, Ottawa - " Inhumane as a prison, so why not try a hostel " - this led to the birth of HI Jail House Hostel in 1973, now an iconic landmark in Ottawa. I picked this hostel for our group's 3 night stay just to get a feel of experience .... the location of this hostel is superb and close to major tourist attractions ! The hostel reception organized free guided tour of the Jail House complex but such tour is also opened to outsiders & participants needed to pay a nominal fee to join the conducted tour !
3) My free daily breakfasts in HI Jail House - Good Morning, KM ! Enjoy your breakfast as a new "Prisoner" in this Jail House ! You will be treated kindly with a healthy breakfast ie toasted bread, breakfast cereals with milk, hard boiled eggs, fresh fruit, fruit juice, coffee & tea etc - a simple & wholesome meal to start off your day in Ottawa ! Using the hostel's kitchen facilities, I cooked my own simple dinners here, at times rice or rice vermicelli with stir fried vegetables ie tomatoes, cucumber, broccoli, cauliflowers, carrots & chicken fillets - a hearty meal indeed after a long day wandering around downtown Ottawa visiting the major tourist attractions …..
