Day 3 Dec 11 2023 - train ride from Amritsar Junction > Bikaner Junction by Jat Ju Express (03.15 > 17.30, 608km, 5 1/2 hrs but a delay of 3.5hr upon arrival) Class 3A Rp620 = Rm36, bought sandwiches (Rp60 = Rm3.50) from a restaurant in the railway station & finger food (peanut confectionery & rice cakes) for munching in the train !
Arriving at Bikaner Junction, Rajasthan - took a auto-rickshaw ride to Karina Art Homestay for my 2 nights stay in Bikaner.
Hotel Accommodation: my 2 nights stay in Karina Art Homestay, Bikaner, room tariff Rp806 = Rm47 (twin sharing) per room night.
After the hotel check in, both of us made a visit to Rampuria Haveli (350m from our hotel) just to get a feel of old Bikaner ! This 15th century Rampuria havelis were constructed by Balujee Chalva for the rich merchant family of Rampuria.
Day 4 Dec 12 2023: my 2nd day in Bikaner, devoted a whole day & evening to explore this old city in Thar Desert.
Bikaner, Rajasthan - a city in the north Indian state of Rajasthan, east of the border with Pakistan, it's surrounded by the Thar Desert, the city is known for the 16th century Junagarh Fort, a huge complex of ornate buildings & halls, within the fort, the Prachina Museum displays traditional textiles & royal portraits, nearby, the Kami Mata Temple is home to many of the considered sacred by the Hindu devotees.
Morning breakfast in hotel room - bread + omelette + banana + hot tea Rp150 = Rm8.70
Rampuria Haveli, Bikaner, Rajasthan - a pride of Bikaner, built in the 15th century, a fusion of Mughal & Victorian architecture, a beautiful mansion constructed of Dulmera red sandstone; my 2nd visit to Rampuria Haveli.

Kote Gate, Old Bikaner, Rajasthan - the main entrance gate of Bikaner city surrounded by a busy bustling market, offers a glimpse of the magnificent architectural work in the city.
Enjoying a home cooked dinner Rp500 = Rm29 for two (ordered from our homestay guest house) in the comfort of our hotel room.
