Day 7 Friday (TGIF) May 19 2023 Part 2  Yogyakarta, Java - my full day visit to Museum Kraton Yogyakarta, Taman Sari & Vredeburg Museum near Malioboro area.

1) Vredeburg Museum, Yogyakarta, Java - built in 1760, heavily damaged when a massive earthquake hit Yogyakarta in 1867, after renovations, the fort was renamed to Vredeburg (fort of peace in Dutch), there are multiple Indische-style buildings within the fort's complex, this fort currently functions as a museum, entrance fee for foreigners 10,000Rp (Rm3.25); excellent audio-visual & graphic presentation for visitors to gain a better understanding about the history of Indonesia from the Dutch & British colonial period to struggle  & fighting for independence & Japanese occupation etc. If you are a history junkie, this museum is the right place for you !

2) Yogyakarta Indonesia Independence war memorial monument 1949, Kota Yogyakarta, Java.

3) Took a BRT bus from Malioboro bus stop > Aloha Hotel & after a short rest, I had my dinner with my travel buddy in a nearby food stall specialising in cooking Chinese food, both of us ordered a plate of sweet & sour deep fried prawns (30,000Rp) + Rice (3,000Rp) = 33,000Rp (Rm10), one of the best dinner meal I had ever taken for this 16 days trip in Java !

4) After the dinner & on our way back to hotel, our group bought an assorted packs of durian, green bean & cheese flavour cake pastries totalled 50,000Rp (Rm15.40)
