Malaysia (Covid 19 - Transition to Endemic Phase - My Cuti Cuti Malaysia / Staycation No 10 to Bagan Datuk, Pantai Remis, Segari Turtle Sanctuary, Lumut & Sitiawan, Perak) Saturday & Sunday June 4-5 2022 Part 1

" My Cuti Cuti Malaysia / Staycation No 10 (Transition to Endemic Phase) free & easy visit to Bagan Datuk, Sunflower Garden, Pantai Remis, Segari Turtle Sanctuary, Lumut & Sitiawan, Perak on Saturday June 4 & 5 2022 together with my brother Weng & sister Mei travelling by my brother's vehicle from SS17, Subang Jaya; my 43rd outdoor trip after a National Lockdown (Movement Control Order / Emergency) imposed by the Malaysian Government on May 6 2021 due to a spike in Covid-19 cases; a National Vaccination campaign is currently being implemented by the Malaysian Government (Phase 1 started in Feb 2021), as at Feb 5 2022, a total of 22.9 million individuals or 97.9% of the adult population in Malaysia have completed their Covid-19 vaccinations; Malaysia is now under the Transition to Endemic Phase starting from April 1 2022, an exit strategy that could allow Malaysians to return to near-normal life after nearly over 2 years of battling the pandemic "

It's mid year of 2022 now ! How time has flown ! A long weekend for this coming week as Monday June 6 is a Agong's (King's) Birthday hence a public holiday, also the following week is a school holiday ! Driven by a public holiday mood, I together with my brother Weng & sister Mei decided to take a leisure drive (although there was a hour of intermittent traffic jam along the Kuala Selangor > Sabak stretch of main trunk roads due to roadworks in progress) for an overnight  stay in Sitiawan over the Saturday weekend plus visiting a number of touristy places in Bagan Datoh, Sitiawan, Lumut & Pantai Remis located on the north west coast of Peninsula Malaysia. A happy outcome indeed after seeing Bagan Datoh, Pantai Remis, Segari Turtle Sanctuary, Pantai Teluk Batik, Marina Island Jetty Complex, the historic Sitiawan Settlement Museum & Pioneer Chinese Methodist Church - all these places were my first time visit !

2) Bagan Datuk Town, Perak - colorful pre war shophouses dominate the main street, a quiet little town, street art, a clock tower, a statute of Bagan Datuk & a jetty nearby for tourists to enjoy a stroll & admire the surrounding ! 



3) Sunflower Garden, Kampung Sungai Burung, Bagan Datuk, Perak - a flower theme park, an ideal place for family outing, an Instagram spot, admission for seniors Rm10 & adult Rm13. 



4) Bagan Sungai Burung, Sungai Besar, Perak - a side visit to a small fishing village & a quiet beach before heading to Bagan Datuk, been there & done that !
