Day 1 Saturday June 4 2022 - after the hotel check-in (around 17.00), our group decided to explore the major historic & tourist attractions in Sitiawan & Lumut area ie Sitiawan Settlement Museum, Pioneer Chinese Methodist Church, Pantai Teluk Batik, Marina Island Jetty Complex & Lumut Waterfront. After the visit, our group had an evening dinner (small eat) in two Kopitiam restaurants (Jalan Medan Sitiawan) located next to each other within a walking distance from our hotel; Sitiawan is also known as "Little Fuzhou" hence a large Fuzhou community here, the popular authentic Fuzhou food you could savour are red wine misua, Fuzhou pillow pau, tau sar piau, gong piau, Fuzhou style fried oyster, fish maw or fish ball soup, Fuzhou stir fried mixed vegetable ..... so just enjoy the sightseeing, food & sleep well when in this quaint little Fuzhou town in the north west of Peninsula Malaysia !

1) Sitiawan Settlement Museum (1935), Jalan Kampung Koh, Sitiawan, Perak - entrance fee for senior citizens Rm3, adult Rm5; located in Koh Village, built in 1935 as the house for Pioneer Methodist Church pastors, converted into a museum in 2003, an excellent display of historical relics & artifacts, houses more than 500 items of historical documents, records, & photographs detailing the major events of the pioneering works of the early Christians from Fuzhou, South China, before leaving the museum, each of us a packet of hand-made misua from the Museum's souvenir stall !

2) Pioneer Chinese Methodist Church (1904), Jalan Kampung Koh, Sitiawan, Perak - founding day was 1904, the settlement of Sitiawan is closely tied to the founding of this church in Sitiawan & the arrival of Fuzhou migrants who were mainly Christians.

3) Pantai Teluk Batik, Lumut, Perak - a major tourist attraction in Lumut, crowded during the holiday season & weekends.

4) Marina Island Jetty Complex, Teluk Murch, Lumut, Perak, provide ferry services to Pangkor island, visitors can enjoy a scenic view surrounding the jetty area, my 1st time visit to this ferry complex.

5) Lumut Waterfront, Perak - the passenger terminal for taking the ferry from Lumut to Pangkor Island (takes 10 minutes); my brother & sister are keen to visit Pangkor Island in the near future so I look forward for another Cuti Cuti Malaysia visit to Lumut & Sitiawan, my last visit to Lumut Waterfront & Pangkor Island was in 2006 together with 4 of my Klang travel buddies !

6) Sitiawan Town, Perak - early morning drive & walk around downtown Sitiawan, wet market (bought dried anchovies & bananas)  & Sitiawan Stadium area.
