From Hukeng Tulou to Meizhou (via Longyan) is about 7-8 hrs by bus. Our visit to Meizhou was a brief stopover for a night in order to catch an early bus for our next destination, Shenzen. Due to time constraints, we were not able to visit the major touristy places in Meizhou.
We chose to put up a night at a hotel within walking distance from the Meizhou bus station.
My brother in law's surname is "Boey" but his ancestor was not originated from Meizhou, who speaks mainly the Hakka dialect.
