TGIF (Thank God Is Friday) Dec 23 2022 10.00 > 11.00 - after an hour of meet-up with my travel buddy, KF Wong (main purpose was to discuss our groups' forthcoming visit to Northern & Central Vietnam in early Feb 2023) in Tropicana Garden Mall, Kota Damansara, Petaling Jaya, Selangor, I took a Rapid KL MRT train ride from Surian MRT station > Bukit Bintang & as done in every Christmas season during the last 3-4 years, I spent an hour of my time to admire & take pictures of the various Christmas decor at the front entrance & main hall of Pavilion Kuala Lumpur in Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur .... it is that time of the year as Malaysians join in sharing the spirit of Christmas .... wishing all the Christians in Malaysia & worldwide a very Merry Christmas! 

1) Sunday Dec 25 2022 11.30 > 12.30 - a Merry Christmas lunch with my wife & sisters Inn, Peng & Mei (a group of 5) in Ping Chang Dim Sum Restaurant, Taman Kasturi, Cheras, Kuala Lumpur; ordered 14 assorted dim sum + 1 pot of Chinese Tea totalled Rm109.30 (US$24.80, a treat from KM), good food, good company & in festive mood!

1) Friday Dec 23 2022 11.30 > 12.15 - Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, Jalan Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur - a premier shopping mall, one of the best Christmas decors in town, school holiday season, long weekend, drawing a throng of local visitors & foreign tourists, the crowds are back! Bukit Bintang is 'alive" again, witnessing a much bigger shopping crowd & holiday makers showing up in major shopping malls this Christmas season .... Oh jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way yearning for a better Covid-free year to come! 


2) Pavilion KL celebrating Christmas together with Disney's 100 year Anniversary &  Christmas Disney Designer Collection - Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, Jalan Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur 


3) A late morning walk in the famous Bukit Bintang area of Kuala Lumpur during the Christmas season in 2022! The main shopping & entertainment district of Kuala Lumpur, upscale malls & luxe fashion boutiques, al fresco bars & live music line Changkat Bukit Bintang street. 

My brother Hong's family from Singapore is currently on a holiday for a week (Dec 16 > 24 2022) in Malaysia. The family had bought online tickets to view "Van Goth Alive" exhibition in Pavilion Bukit Jalil Mall, a "virtual" exhibition displaying floor to ceiling projections of Van Goth, the Dutch master's famed art (with the help of multimedia technology)! As this shopping mall is located in suburban Kuala Lumpur, I volunteered to drive them hence my 2nd visit to Pavilion Bukit Jalil, observed a bigger shopping crowd this time compared to my 1st visit in Dec 29 2021 after the mega mall was officially opened in Sept 2021! 

1) Monday Dec 19 2022 -  Pavilion Bukit Jalil Shopping Mall, Kuala Lumpur - accompanying my brother Hong's family from Singapore to Pavilion Bukit Jalil to view the Van Goth Alive exhibition.


2) Tokyo Town, Pavilion Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur - very Japanese!


3) Japan Japanese Moment, Pavilion Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur - works by Japanese rising & bustling creators, illustrators, artists & photographers; merging of Malaysian & Japanese Arts on exhibits. 


4) Tsutaya Books, Pavilion Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur - first in South East Asia, officially opened in 2021, a lifestyle proposal bookstore that integrates books, stationery, groceries & coffee etc


5) Van Gogh Alive the Greatest Artist - Grande Experiences, Pavilion Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur - held in Pavilion Bukit Jalil starting Dec 17 2022 > March 16 2023, not an art exhibition but an immersive, multi-sensory multimedia art experience, online booking Rm45 (US$10), walk-in visitors Rm75 (US$17). 


6) Monday Feb 19 - lunch with brother Hong's family (a group of 5) in Nanyang Cafe, Pavilion Bukit Jalil after the Van Goth Alive exhibition.

8) Saturday Dec 17 2022 (09.30 > 13.00) - together with my family members, attended the funeral & burial ceremony of my mother-in-law in Xiao En Memorial Park, Nilai, Negri Sembilan. 


9) Saturday Lunch with my in-law & my own family members (a group of 11) in Kedai Makanan Pak Yoon, Kampung Salak South, Kuala Lumpur after attending my mother-in-law's funeral ceremony in Xiao En Memorial Park, Nilai, Negri Sembilan; a treat (Rm270) from my two sons.

10) Thursday & Friday Dec 22 & 23 2022 - attended my mother-in-law's wake in Nirvana Memorial Center, Wisma Kuchai Lama, Kuala Lumpur, mom in law (aged 91) passed away peacefully on Tuesday night in Subang Jaya Medical Centre. My deepest condolence & sympathy to my in-law's family, may her soul rests in peace. 


11) Friday Dec 16 2022 - set lunch with my brother-in-law's family members (after attending my mother-in-law's wake) in My Vegan Restaurant in Nirvana Memorial Center (Kuchai Lama), Jalan Sungei Besi, Salak South, Kuala Lumpur; a treat from my brother-in-law (Meng Sam).
