Malaysia (Taman Negara - National Park, Kuala Tahan, Pahang) D-1 July 2019 Part 2


1) Arriving at the Kuala Tahan Bus Terminal (Taman Negara), Pahang, also the pick up point for NKS van services (Rm$25) from Kuala Tahan > Jerantut & vice versa departing 08.00 daily …..


2) Kuala Tahan jetty to Taman Negara (National Park) & Mutiara Hotel Resort - boat ride Rm$1 per pax - 5 minutes; a boat ride from Sungai Tembiling jetty (16km from Jerantut town) to Kuala Tahan costs Rm55 (2 1/2 hours)

4) Entrance to Taman Negara National Park, Kuala Tahan, Pahang - entrance pemit is Rm$1 & camera Rm$5


5) Taman Negara Information Counter, Park Centre, Kuala Tahan


6) Map of Teresek Trail (2.5km), Taman Negara, Kuala Tahan, Pahang - due to our late afternoon arrival, both of us decided to forgo our hike to the Teresek Hill. We were told by hikers that the Canopy walkway (1.5km) is temporarily closed for maintenance ! 


7) Kelah (Fish) Square, next to Park Centre, Taman Negara 


8) Why do we need to use boardwalk in Taman Negara ? - to slow down adverse impact in the soil, to reduce soil compaction, to avoid soil erosion, to prevent the growth of disturbed plants & to ensure safety & comfort of the visitors ! 


9) Mutiara Hotel Resort, Taman Negara, Kuala Tahan, Pahang - indicative room rate (double bed) for a chalet in August 2019 is Rm450(US$108), family room for 4 is Rm700(US$169)


10) Seri Mutiara Restaurant, Taman Negara
