8) Gurdwara Bangla Sahib Sikh Temple, New Delhi - our visit coincided with a Sikh festive occasion; the temple was full of people, visited the Museum which was very interesting & informative !

10) Qutub Minar (UNESCO), New Delhi - entrance fee Rs600 

" Qutub Minar or Qutab Minar or Qutb Minar is a minaret that forms part of the Qutab complex, a UNESCO World Heritage site in the Mehrauli area of Delhi, India "

11) Humayun's Tomb (UNESCO), New Delhi - entrance fee Rs600 - my group did not enter but just took a stroll of the surrounding ! 

" Humayun's tomb is the tomb of the Mughal Emperor Humayun in Delhi, India. The tomb was commissioned by Humayun's first wife & chief consort, Empress Bega Begum in 1569-70 and designed by Mirak Mirza Ghiyas & his son, Sayyid Muhammad, Persian architects, chosen by her "

12) Gandhi Smriti, New Delhi - the martyrdom site of Mahatma Gandhi, closed on the day of our visit due to a festive holiday

13) Dilli Haat Food & Craft Bazar, New Delhi - entrance fee Rs200; best time to visit is in the evening; day time less crowd.

14) Mall of India, New Delhi - a mega mall in a new suburb in New Delhi


15) The Great India Place Shopping Mall - near the Mall of India


16)  Swaminarayan Akshardham Mandir, New Delhi - free admission, no camera & mobile phones allowed inside ! Visited this place on our final day of our stay in New Delhi ! Stringent checks on all visitors at the entry points, all backpacks must be deposited at the cloakroom. The main temple looked impressive & spectacular !

17) Noida Sec.18, New Delhi - the central hub for shopping destinations ie The Great India Place, DLF Mall of India & Atta Market

18) Makan Makan (Eating) - lunch at a Food Court in Mall of India, Noida, Sec 18, New Delhi; I had two Burger King egg burgers in this premier shopping mall whilst my two travel buddies ordered local Indian food ! What a great place to rest & relax, away from the madding crowd in Pahar Ganj !
