One funny liner - It happens in India - one of the pics contributed by hotel guests in New Delhi

" Hajipur is the largest city and HQ of Vaishali district of Tirhut Division in the Indian state of Bihar. Hajipur is the 10th leading city and 17th most populous city of Bihar, making it the 2nd fastest developing city, next to Patna "

1) Bus ride (Rs25) from Ghandi Maidan departing 06.30 from Patna city to Hajipur, one of the largest city in Bihar (22km). This bus ride was to take a connecting bus from Hajipur to visit a historical site in Vaishali (44km) but aborted this visit (so near yet so far !) after our arrival in Hajipur due to a lack of public transport to this popular Buddhist pilgrimage site & time constraints ! Due to a vehicle breakdown along a main bridge, our bus arrived late in Hajipur, it took 2.5 hours instead of a normal 1 hour ride ! Another incredible experience Lam & I encountered in this Indian trip but I enjoyed this city visit very much !

2) Hajipur Railway Station

3) Hajipur town

Vaishali Stupa - no luck to visit this historical site on this North Indian trip - KIV for the time being !
