India (Amritsar, Punjab) - Dec 2018 Part 2


A funny one liner - it only happens in India - one of the pics contributed by hostel guests in New Delhi ! 


" The Golden Temple, also known as Darbar Sahib, is a Gurdwara located in the city of Amritsar, Punjab, India. It is the holiest Gurdwara & the most important pilgrimage site of Sikhism. The temple is built around a man made pool that was completed by Guru Ram Das in 1577 " 


1) Golden Temple (The Harmandir Sahib) Amritsar, Punjab - a mixture of the Indo-Islamic & the Hindu Rajput architecture. 


2) Devotees taking a holy bath in Golden Temple Pond in early winter !
