Malaysia (Petronas Twin Towers, KLCC Kuala Lumpur) Sept 2018 - Part 1

" My Jalan Jalan (Walkabout) weekend day trip by Rapid KL LRT train from SS15, Subang Jaya to KLCC to visit the Sky Bridge (41st floor) & Observation Deck (86th floor) of Petronas Twin Towers (completed in March 1996) KLCC, an iconic landmark of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia  on Sunday 30th Sept 2018 - another iconic experience for me after towering my way up to the top of this magnificent building in my home country ! "

Kuala Lumpur has 7 architectural landmarks you should visit. For the last 2 years, I was able to visit each of them during my spare time using public transport when not travelling overseas. The 7 architectural landmarks are:

- Petronas Twin Towers, KLCC
- KL Tower / Menara KL
- Bangunan Sultan Abdul Samad (Merdeka Square)
- Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA)
- Lord Murugan Statute, Batu Caves
- Istana Budaya (Cultural Palace)
- Masjid Negara (National Mosque)

Happy travelling & enjoy every moment of your stay in Malaysia. Selamat Datang (Welcome) to Malaysia.

Total expenses incurred: Rm20.60 (US$5)
LRT trains: Rm1.80 x 2 (return)
Finger Food: Rm3.00
Entrance fee: Rm14 (senior)
Exchange Rate: US$1=Rm4.14

1) LRT trains (Kelana Jaya Line) from SS15 > KLCC station

2) Underground walkway from KLCC LRT station to Suria KLCC Shopping Mall & Petronas Twin Towers

3) Suria KLCC Shopping Mall, Galeri Petronas & Dewan Fiharmonik Petronas, Kuala Lumpur

4) KLCC Park, KLCC Lake & KLCC Lake Fountains

5) Petronas Twin Towers & the surrounding as seen from the KLCC Park & front entrance

6) Petronas Twin Towers Ticketing Counter - admission fee Rm14 for Malaysian seniors aged 60+ (adult Rm28); foreigners Rm80 (Rm42 for seniors 60+); so to my fellow senior citizens from my home country, without any hesitation, just part away your Rm14 (US$3.38) and show up at the Petronas Twin Towers to admire this beautiful Kuala Lumpur city from the 86th floor & the Sky bridge even though you are given a mere 30 minutes to view ! No wonder Kuala Lumpur was voted as one of the "100 Best Cities in the World" by Lonely Planet in 2009 !  You can agree or disagree after seeing the Kuala Lumpur skyline from the Skybridge & the 86th floor of Petronas Twin Towers through your own lens during the duration of your visit here !

7) Petronas Twin Towers - Gifts & Souvenirs Shop

8) The story of Petronas Twin Tower - A National Pride of  the people of Malaysia

9) Entering the high speed lift to the Skybridge of Petronas Twin Towers - given 10 minutes stay for photo taking.

10) Petronas Twin Towers were the tallest skyscrapers in the world from 1998 - 2004 ! A Tall Dream accomplished by Malaysia !
