Malaysia (Post Covid-19 My Cuti Cuti Malaysia -Tanjung Malim, Behrang, Slim River, Batu Gajah & Ipoh, Perak - August 20 & 21 2023 Day 2 Part 1 (Final Day)

Day 2 Sunday August 20 2023 (Final) - after a delicious dim sum breakfast in Ming Court Restaurant in Ipoh, our group made a visit (a Bond of Buddhism & Nature kind of visit) to a number of cave temples in Ipoh ie Perak Guangyin Tong (Goddess of Mercy Cave), Sam Poh Tong (Three Buddha Cave) & Nam Theam Tong (Cave of the Southern Sky, the oldest temple established in 1867), Kek Look Tong (Cave of Ultimate Bliss or Great Happiness), Ling Sen Tong (Rock of Heavenly Spirits) followed by a Ipoh bean sprout chicken rice lunch, our group's last visit was Galeri Rumah LAT, Batu Gajah before heading home ! 

1) Walkabout in downtown Ipoh near Jalan Leong Sin Nam, Kampung Jawa area, Perak  


2) Group's breakfast in Ming Court Hong Kong Dim Sum Restaurant, Jalan Leong Sin Nam, Ipoh - a 15 to 20 minutes queue to secure a table for our early morning dim sum breakfast in this famous restaurant, savoured 11 plates of assorted dim sum + 1 pot of Chinese tea totalled Rm63 (US$13.70) - a satisfying meal ! 



3) Perak Guangyin Tong, Ipoh, Perak -  a cave temple (Goddess of Mercy) located in the Gunong Rapat area at the foot of a limestone hill, my 1st visit ! 



4) Dudjom New Treasure Buddhist Society, Ipoh, Perak


5) The Sam Poh Tong Temple - also known as Three Buddha Cave is a Chinese temple built within a limestone cave & is the oldest cave temple in Ipoh, the temple was built in a raw limestone cave in the mountains located about 5km from the city centre & follows the Buddhist branch of Mahayana Buddhism. 


6) Sam Poh Tong Garden, Ipoh Perak


7) Nam Theam Tong (Cave of Southern Sky), off Jalan Gopeng, Ipoh, Perak - oldest temple, established in 1867 by a Chinese priest called Kuong San Teik,
