Malaysia (Covid 19 - Transition to Endemic Phase - My Staycation No 19 to Bank Negara Malaysia Museum & Art Gallery, Kuala Lumpur) Tuesday July 5 2022

" My Staycation No 19 (Transition to Endemic Phase) free & easy solo visit (09.00 > 12.30) to Bank Negara Malaysia Museum & Art Gallery, travelling by Rapid KL LRT train from SS15, Subang Jaya > Bandaraya (via Masjid Jamek); my 52nd outdoor trip after a National Lockdown (Movement Control Order / Emergency) imposed by the Malaysian Government on May 6 2021 due to a spike in Covid-19 cases; a National Vaccination campaign is currently being implemented by the Malaysian Government (Phase 1 started in Feb 2021), as at Feb 5 2022, a total of 22.9 million individuals or 97.9% of the adult population in Malaysia have completed their Covid-19 vaccinations; Malaysia is now under the Transition to Endemic Phase starting from April 1 2022, an exit strategy that could allow Malaysians to return to near-normal life after nearly 2 over years of battling the pandemic "

Total expenses incurred: Free of Charge - a month long free Rapid KL LRT, MRT & KTM train rides in Klang Valley declared by Malaysian Government for travelling from June 16 > July 15 2022.

Travel itinerary (Rapid KL LRT train rides): SS15, Subang Jaya > Masjid Jamek (transit) > Bandaraya & return (Home Sweet Home)


Bank Negara (Central Bank) Malaysia Museum & Art Gallery, Jalan Dato Onn, Kuala Lumpur - opened in 2011, occupies a wing of the modern glass & steel Sasana Kijang building, the purpose of the Museum is to educate the public on Malaysia's economy & economic history as well as the Central Bank's role in the nation's economic development, also a modern museum featuring a collection of Malaysian & Southeast Asian art plus a gift shop & a cafe, free admission, operating hours 10.00 > 13.00, 14.00 > 17.00, pre-booking is required (2 days before the date of the visit); however, every Tuesday week is opened to walk in visitors; what a great free & easy day, free train rides & free entry to a modern museum for a senior citizen of the day ! Takes your time to browse through the major exhibits to learn more about the important role of Bank Negara Malaysia (Central Bank), technology in finance (the past & present), from bricks to clicks ...... Money, money & money makes the world go round, many things could not happen without it !  Or is it a mad mad mad world out there especially when inflation is at all time high in 2022 !
