Travel Highlights:

1) Taman Rekreasi Perigi Tujuh (7 Wells), Lorong Kampung Datuk Harun, Serendah, Selangor - a small dam with 7 sluices which are fed by water through 7 sink holes of spillways acting like plug holes in a bath & allow the water collecting in the upstream lake to drain gently, part of Malaysian heritage; small village charm, quiet & serene & surrounded by greeneries ! My last visit to this touristy place was in March 2021. Welcome back, KM !

2) Rasa Town, Ulu Selangor - an ex-tin mining town, famous for Hakka cuisine, my 1st visit ! Most Kopitiam (coffee shops) & eatery stalls were fill with people enjoying their breakfast at the time of our morning visit (09.00) in this quaint little village town, not far from Tanjung Malim (30km) ! Rasa to Ulu Yam Lama is approx 9km.

3) Kuala Kubu Bharu, Hulu Selangor - the district capital located 60km north of Kuala Lumpur; in 1883, the Sungai Selangor dam breaks, causing a massive flood & swept away the entire town, the dam broke a 2nd time in 1926 ! My last visit to Kuala Kubu Bharu & Fraser Hill was in Jan 2020 !

It's Durian Season !

4) Ulu Yam Lama, Batang Kali, Selangor - a brief visit to the old Ulu Yam village famous for Loh Mee & took a few pictures of Hock Choon Kee Restaurant, an old Kopitiam (the original coffee shop which started in 1946) & the founder of Loh Mee, the late Mr Low Kow who made the 1st bowl of Loh Mee recipe in his Kopitiam in Ulu Yam Lama !

5) Our group's lunch (11.00) in Swee Yen Restaurant, Ulu Yam Lama, Batang Kali, Selangor; my favourite choice of Loh Mee restaurant in Ulu Yam Lama, savoured 4 assorted dishes (braised Loh Mee, Mi hoon with pork, fried fish cakes & stir fried potato leaves + hot Chinese tea) = Rm70 (US$15.60, a treat from sister Mei & Inn); Ulu Yam is famous for loh mee (starchy with egg braised thick noodles & vinegar), a must try !
