" My Staycation & Jalan Jalan (Walkabout) free & easy visit (09.00>14.00) with my travel buddies, KF Wong & Thompson Tham to Pavilion Kuala Lumpur on Christmas Eve Friday Dec 24 2021, travelling by Rapid KL LRT train from SS15, Subang Jaya > Pasar Seni (transit) > Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur & return, my 22nd outdoor trip after a National Lockdown (Movement Control Order / Emergency) imposed by the Malaysian Government on May 6 2021 due to a spike in Covid-19 cases; a National Vaccination campaign is currently being implemented by the Malaysian Government (Phase 1 started in Feb 2021), as at Dec 24 2021 a total of  22.8 million individuals or 97.5% of the adult population in Malaysia have completed their Covid-19 vaccinations, Selangor (my home state) is now under National Recovery Phase 4 (NRP4) starting from Monday Oct 11 2021 hence the Malaysian Government has eased restrictions allowing individuals with vaccination certificate or card for inter-state travels, dine-in restaurants, hotel accommodations & homestays, outdoor sport & activities etc "

Total expenses incurred (2 LRT train rides): Rm2.10 x 2 = Rm4.20 (US$1, senior 50% discount)

The start of my Rapid KL LRT train ride from SS15, Subang Jaya (my home place) > Pasar Seni (Transit) > Bukit Bintang & return (50 mins one way); the distance from SS15, Subang Jaya (my home place) > Bukit Bintang is approx 22km. 


1) Mystical Christmas Decor in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, a premier shopping mall in Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur


2) 3D animation show of a Coach giant dinosaur Rexy stomping over the busiest shopping district of Bukit Bintang on a gigantic LED screen outside of Pavilion Kuala Lumpur !


3) Christmas Decor in Fahrenheit 88, Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur - a shopping centre previously know as KL Plaza, reopened in August 2010 after extensive renovation, management & leasing of the shopping centre are handled by the same company that manages the Pavilion Kuala Lumpur Shopping Centre. 


4) The Biggest Hybrid Art Fair in Fahrenheit 88 (level Ground Floor to Level 3), Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur - 500 artists & 2000 art works on display ! Very impressed with the various artworks presented in this display ! 


5) Walkabout in Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur - a busy thoroughfare with upscale malls & luxe fashion boutiques, al fresco bars & live music clubs lined Changkat Bukit Bintang street. 


6) Jalan Alor Food Street, Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur - a lively strip known for sidewalk restaurants serving Malaysian, western & Chinese cuisine, hawker food & seafood, a famous food street in Kuala Lumpur, you can eat & dine till the wee hours, closes at 3am ! 


7) Alor Backspace & Street Art, Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur - old buildings lining the narrow street are used as a canvas & turned into colorful art expressions. 


Makan Makan (Eating) - a delicious lunch in Hakka Restaurant (a down the memory lane visit for me as I used to frequent this restaurant during the 1980s & 1990s as my office is about 10 minutes drive to this old 1956 restaurant !) with my travel buddies, a treat from K F Wong for this special meet up on Christmas Eve after his 22 days adventurous visit to Sabah (Nov29>Dec20) !
