Malaysia (Kota Tinggi Waterfall Resort, Johor) Dec 2019

Day 2 Saturday Dec 14 2019 continued ...

1) Kota Tinggi Town, Johor - located in a low lying region east of Kulai, this place is prone to flood especially during the December monsoon season. The following day after our visit to Kota Tinggi Waterfall resort, the entire town & resort was badly flooded leading to certain stretch of roads not passable to traffic ! So I was lucky as our group was able to visit the waterfall a day earlier !

2) Lunch at a Malay food stall in Kota Tinggi town, Johor - economy rice + fish + vege + fried egg = Rm6

3) Kota Tinggi Waterfall Resort, Johor (47km from Kulai) - due to the monsoon season, no water sport activities / swimming were allowed in the waterfall area; entrant fees waived but paid a parking fee of Rm3 for entry to the car park for a general viewing of the waterfall; my last visit to the waterfall was ages ago when I joined a primary school excursion trip to Johor Bahru in the early 60's !

4) Pulai Spring Resort, 20km Jalan Pontian Lama, Pulai, Johor - indicative room tariff for year end Dec 2019 is Rm240-Rm280 (US$58) for a one bed room suite (one king bed 2 adults 2 small children)

5) Evening stroll near our hotel, Country Inn, Indahpura, Kulai - 2 budget hotels ie R J Hotel & Corsica Hotel and a number of Chinese food restaurants are in operation in this new commercial area.

6) Dinner in Restoran Galaxy Dragon Food & Beverage near our hotel - stewed pork rice & herbal chicken drumstick with rice (Rm10 per plate)
