The largest cities in these 8 regions are:

1) Hokkaido - Sapporo
2) Tohoku - Sendai
3) Kanto - Tokyo
4) Chubu - Nagoya
5) Kansai/Kinki - Osaka
6) Chugoku - Hiroshima
7) Shikoku - Matsuyama
8) Kyusu - Fukuoka


The 5 cities I visited so far were Sapporo, Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka & Hiroshima. Hopefully, I will be able to show up in Sendai, Matsuyama & Fukuoka in the near future !

My 3 visits to Japan in 2008 (14days), 2010(14 days) & 2015(7 days) had so far covered 5 regions. In 2017, I made another visit mainly to the Central Honshu region

1) Hokkaido - Sapporo, Monbetsu, Chitose, Otaru, Abashiri, Lake Akan, Lake Machu, Lake Kussharo , Daisetsuzan
2) Kanto - Tokyo, Yokohama, Mariko Village
3) Chubu - Ninja Village, Nagoya, Mt Fuji, Shizuoka, Nagoya, Gifu, Tateyama, Matsumoto, Gero, Kamikochi, Shirakawago, Gujo Hachiman, Takayama
4) Kansai/Kinki - Osaka, Kyoto, Hyogo, Himeiji, Amano Hasidate Kinosaki, Naghama
5) Chugoku - Hiroshima, Miyajima Island


Spring, Autumn & Winter season in Japan - Oh, I started to think of my "Good Old Days" in Japan ! I am still able to vividly remember many of these places I had visited in Japan during my golden years ! Remember wherever you go in travelling, go with all your heart !

As for the near future, I look forward to a visit to Hokkaido, Japan in Summer to see Lavender in season - just a dream at this moment ! Dream as if you will live forever !

In 2017 (April) in my 4th visit to Japan, I visited the Central Honshu region and fulfil my dreams of seeing the Snow Wall of Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route & the Historic Villages of Shirakawago & Gokayama.
