The Best Moments of My Travelling Days in China 2006-2019 (Part 2)

Map of 4 Municipalities in China

" Leaving behind my footprints in China - making every travel day & visit count ! "

China has 4 Municipalities (Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai & Chongqing); 2 Special Administrative Regions (Hong Kong & Macau) & 5 Autonomous Regions (Xinjiang Uighur, Tibet, Ningxia Hui, Inner Mongolia & Guangxi)

Beijing has 6 UNESCO World Heritage sites (mainly cultural):

- Imperial Palace
- Peking Man - site at Zhou Koudian
- The Great Wall of China
- Summer Palace
- Temple of Heaven
- Imperial Tombs of the Ming & Qing dynasties

The Dazu Rock Carvings is an UNESCO site in Dazu district, 160km from Chongqing.

As in my earlier travelling years to China, I focused my visits on major UNESCO sites and as a consequence, I am glad that to-date I had visited all the UNESCO sites in Beijing & Macau.
