Singapore Dec 2011

" Positive thoughts generate positive feelings and attract positive LIFE experiences "

" Three things cannot be long hidden. The Sun, the moon & the truth "

LIFE is like a photography. You have to use the negatives to develop yourself "

" My 3 days visit to enjoy the Christmas festive season in Singapore with my wife from 25- 27/12/2011 "

2011 was another eventful year for me in the world of travelling. Europe and China were the major countries I visited and I probably will continue to focus in visiting these two continents in 2012. Travelling is still very much in my blood !!! After retirement, I took all the opportunities that life has to offer, but dare not say that "the world is my oyster" but after visited some 40 world most popular heritage sites ( ref: The Great Book of World Heritage Sites published by VMB with a listing of 110 heritage sites ) since 2006, the world is indeed an oyster to any retirees who enjoy travelling !!!

Before the year 2011 ends, I made a short visit during the Christmas festive season to neighboring Singapore and stayed in my younger brother's (Hong) HDB flat near Sembayang shipyard, about 20 minutes drive from the Singapore causeway, Brother Hong's family was on annual holidays in Kuala Lumpur for a week before the Christmas and together with my wife, we drove to Singapore to pay a visit to our close relatives in Singapore.

We took the opportunity to visit my beloved uncle Toh who was bedridden and a few of our cousins ( Chow families ) in Singapore. On the second night, Cousin Sung & Hoe drove us to Orchard road to see the Christmas lighting ( spectacular blue color lighting dominated the entire Orchard road shopping malls ) , Marina Bay resort and Singapore Flyer. Our cousin Chow families (Sung, Hoe & Mun) & brother Hong took us to savor a taste of some popular Singapore food in restaurants and eatery outlets around Singapore. A good break before 2011 sneaks away !

Bye bye 2011 & Wishing you all good health in 2012.
