1) The Ginger Inn, Bhubaneswar - my 4 nights stay in Bhubaneswar, room tariff Rs1,680 = Rm91 = US$21 (twin sharing) + paid an extra night to extend our room stay to 20.00 on our last day as our Air Asia departure was at mid-night !
2) Palasuni Bus Stop & the surrounding - 200m from The Ginger Inn, my 1st bus ride from Palasuni > Town Bus Stand to visit Lingaraj Temple, the best is yet to come !
3) Town Bus Stand, Bhubaneswar - a number of bus routes depart from this central transport hub to city areas & suburban places
4) Bhubaneswar Railway Station - near the Town Bus Stand - renovation in progress !
5) The busy Mathama Ghandi Marg road & the surrounding - near Bhubaneswar Railway station, Town Bus Stand & Nehru Park.
6) Lingaraj Temple (11th Century A.D.), Bhubaneswar - external compound & front entrance, unfortunately non-Hindus are not allowed entry but we were directed to view the temple from an elevated platform located adjacent to the main complex.
Lingaraj Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva & is one of the oldest temple in Bhubaneswar, the capital state of the Indian state of Odisha, The temple is the most prominent landmark of Bhubaneswar city & one of the major tourist attractions of the state.
7) The internal Lingaraj Temple complex as viewed from an elevated platform built for general viewing for non-Hindu visitors & foreign tourists / nationals, very impressed with this ancient temple's architecture & design !
8) Sahasralinga Tank, Lingaraj Temple, Bhubaneswar - literally means a tank / pond with 1,000 lingas !
9) Dakara Bibhisaneswara Temple (11th Century A.D.), Bhubaneswar - located on the main road near Lingaraj Temple.
10) Light Refreshment - after the temple visit, both of us savoured a fresh coconut juice drink (Rs60 = Rm3.20) to quench our thirst !
11) Bus ride from Lingaraj Temple > Utkal Kanika Gallery Mall & State Museum, Bhubaneswar.
12) Utkal Kanika Gallery Mall, Bhubaneswar, Odisha - close proximity to Odisha State Museum; window shopping to get a feel of a modern shopping mall in Bhubaneswar !
13) Small Eat - lunch in a food kiosk in Town Bus Stand, downtown Bhubaneswar, savoured a plate of chicken biryani (Rs100 = Rm5.40).
14) Town Bus Stand, Bhubaneswar - various bus routes serving the city & suburban places, air-conditioned & non-airconditioned buses available, this bus stand became our focal point & solved most of our public bus transport issues moving around the city & suburban places of interest !
15) Cityscape of Bhubaneswar as viewed from a moving bus's windows - interesting sights of street art & art mural underneath flyovers !
16) Bought bananas & fresh eggs from a roadside stall near Palasuni nearby The Ginger Inn.
