Day 21 Friday Dec 6 2024 (Bhubaneswar) Part 2 - this post focused on my visit to Pathani Samanta Planetarium & Regional Museum of Natural History, Bhubaneswar after my morning visit to the Temple city of Old Town Bhubaneswar.
1) Pathani Samanta Planetarium, Bhubaneswar, Odisha - located next to the Regional Museum of Natural History, named after astronomer Pathani Samanta (1835 > 1904), it was founded to create awareness about astronomy, the museum now conduct activities like night sky viewing, audio-visual programs & poster shows, also display various astronomical devices; timing of my visit (14.00) coincided with a Hindu session & the Universal English session only commenced at 16.00 opening to foreign nationals / visitors, so we had to confine our visit to the museum's external exhibits only.
2) Regional Museum of Natural History, Bhubaneswar, Odisha - exhibits on plants, animals & geology of the eastern region of India, established 2004, free admission, an old museum but a wealth of information on natural history of Odisha in particular & north-east India.
3) Orientation Area & Temporary Gallery, Regional Museum of Natural History, Bhubaneswar, Odissa - main theme of the displays & exhibits emphasized on uniqueness & creation !

30) Palasuni weekly market & the surrounding, Bhubaneswar - located 200m from The Ginger Inn, bought our fresh produce ie bananas, guava, eggs, chicken fillets, fresh vegetables from the roadside market stalls here.
