1) My morning walk near the Tam Coc Boat Station, Ninh Binh, prior to the breakfast & package tour.

2) Complimentary breakfast provided by Thanh Dat Homestay - simply delicious, just enjoy your meal !

Day 13 Friday Feb 18 2023 - joined a Ninh Binh Package Tour 990,000 dong (Rm193 = US$44) per pax on my Day 2 in Tam Coc.

Boarding a tour bus & the start of my day tour package to 3 touristy places (Bai Dinh Temple, Trang An Boat Ride & Mua Cave) in Ninh Binh.

1st stop - Bai Dinh Pagoda, Ninh Binh - Front Entrance, admission ticket (DIY) combo shuttle electric car & stupa entrance ticket 200,000 dong (Rm39 = US$8.90), included in tour package price !

Taking a shuttle electric car to Tam Quan Gate for our visits to the main pavilions / halls in Bai Dinh Pagoda.

Arriving at the Tam Quan Gate

Tam Quan Gate (Pagoda's three entrance gate) - a face of the Bai Dinh Temple, tourists pass through this gate for visiting to various main halls & Bai Ninh pagoda.

Bai Dinh Temple / Pagoda, Tam Coc - a cultural & spiritual complex of Buddhist temples on Bai Dinh Mountain in Gia Vien District, Ninh Binh Province, the compound of the original old temple & a newly created large temple, has a history of more than 1,000 years ! From the main entrance, you will have to walk through a numbers of steps up multiple levels that are lined with hundreds of Buddha statutes & golden ornaments !

Bell Tower  - a 32,000kg bronze bell !

The Kuan Yin Hall

Buddha Dharma Lord Temple - housed a 9 metre bonze Buddha statute

9) Bai Dinh Pagoda - no guided tour for this leg of visit probably due to time constraints !

Exiting the Bai Dinh Pagoda / Temple & boarding an electric car towards the car park area via some food stalls, gift & souvenir shops.

Upon our bus arrival, a small walk to Trang An Bungalo Hotel resort for our buffet lunch - scenic & stunning scenery along the way !

Trang An Bungalo Hotel Resort - nice ambience, excellent place for an overnight stay, fresh air abundance !

Package tour buffet lunch in Trang An Bungalo Hotel Resort - not to forget savouring a bowl of goat meat soup & have a bite of few pieces of stewed goat meat !

3rd Stop - Mua Cave, Tam Coc - the last visit of the day having done the Bai Linh Pagoda visit & Trang An boat ride.

Go to View Point - doing our walk uphill via a number of steep steps (500 steps)!

My travel buddies K F Wong & Thompson were on top of the world as both managed to reach the highest view point of Lying Dragon & Pagoda Top, congratulations! Both my wife & myself stopped at a rest place short of another few more minutes to reach the lying dragon view point ! So near yet so far but both of us who are in our 70s did our very best so in travelling you win some you lose some !

Given 45 minutes by our Tour Guide to walk up the Viewing Point & down, so a tough challenge for oldies like me & my wife doing the ascend & descend .... but the view from the top was magnificent ! I admired my wife's courage & sporting spirit - one up for her in the world of travelling !

Mua Cave, Tam Coc - the last "dance" of  our day tour package, following our Tour Guide to visit a small Mua Cave as nightfall approached & a tired body after all the walking & boating in Tam Coc ....

Bye Bye Mua Cave, Tam Coc !
