Ellora Caves (UNESCO) - consists of 12 Buddhist caves, 17 Hindus & 5 Jain caves
- Cave 1 to 12 - Buddhist monuments (630 -700 CE)
- Cave 13 to 29 - Hindu monuments (mid 6th to end 8th century)
- Cave 30 to 34 - Jain monuments (9th & early 10th century)
Cave No 2 - a Buddhist monastery, decorated both internally & externally with sculptures of Lord Buddha in different postures.
Cave No 5 - a very big & impressive Buddhist monastery built during the 7th century A.D.
Cave No 10 - The Vishvakarma Cave (Buddhist), a double storied cathedral cum monastery; a major Buddhist prayer hall, built during the 7th century



Cave No 11 - Kanheri Cave (Buddhist), built between 630-730 CE
Cave No 12 - known as Tee Tai because of 3 floors, a Buddhist monastery built in the 8th century AD
Cave No 13 - Cave 13 to 29 are Hindu Monuments, constructed during the Kalachuris period from the mid 6th to the end of 8th century.
Cave No 14 - Ravan Ki Khai Cave, the world's largest monolith, constructed during the Rashtrakuta period between 8th to 10th centuries. Cave 14 & 15 were constructed first & Cave 16, the world's largest monolith being the last of the three to be constructed.
