Day 3 Tuesday Jan 20 2026 (Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam - my final 3rd night stay in Phu Quoc Island, using a hired bike, we made a number of visits to major touristy places in Phu Quoc Island ie Grand World, Vietnamese Cultural Village, Starfish Dock, Vinpearl Safari (external visit), a local temple, church & beach resort etc. A fruitful day indeed !
1) My travel buddy's breakfast ie BBQ pork rice at a roadside stall located opposite of Thuan Hai Hotel, Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam
2) Day 2 Phu Quac biking tour to a Memorial Center & Vietnamese Temple, Phui Quoc Island, Vietnam
3) Day 2 Biking Tour to Coco beach, Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam
4) Day 2 Biking Tour to Quan Huynh Binh Restaurant - Sea Fishing Lake, Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam - serving fresh seafood under a pleasant soothing ambience !
5) Light refreshment ie fresh coconut juice (20K VND = Rm3.20) & a rest in Quan Huynh Binh Restaurant to admire the lake resort & the surrounding, Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam.
6) Day 2 Biking Tour to Mai Phuong Resort & a nearby beach, Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam
7) Day 2 Biking Tour to Grand World, Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam - an entertainment & shopping complex with over 900 shops, gondola boats, musical font shows, a teddy bear museum & a night market, the main entrance has a bamboo structure to greet visitors, an Instagram spot, free admission.
8) Vietnamese Cultural Village, Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam - located directly inside the Grand World, a sprawling open air area featuring traditional Vietnamese architecture, wooden watch towers, lantern-lined lanes, highlighting national heritage, free admission.
9) Day 2 Biking Tour to Vineperal Safari, Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam - spanning across 380 hectares, it is divided into various areas ie Safari Park, Open Zoo, primate bird & reptile areas, admission fee 650K VND = Rm102 = US$25) for seniors aged above 60+; external visit only.
10) Lunch in a Noodle restaurant in a village town in Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam - each of us savoured a bowl of chicken noodle soup (30K VND = Rm5)
11) Day 2 Biking Tour to Starfish Dock, Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam - external visit only & spent our time walking around the dock area, tourists could opt for a boat ride (10 minutes) to the Starfish Beach famous for its shallow, turquoise waters teeming with red starfish.
12) Bought a kilo of mandarin oranges & a bunch of bananas from a roadside fruit stall in Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam
13) Day 2 Biking Tour to Maria Rosaline Nguyen Duyen Church - a beautiful white church in Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam
14) Dinner in a traditional Vietnamese restaurant nearby our hotel in Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam - ordered from the menu a Bun Dau Lang Mo, a traditional Vietnamese dish of rice vermicelli, fried tofu, paired with pungent fermented shrimp paste, fresh herbs & various pork toppings for 2 (105K VND = Rm16.50), yummy yummy taste !
15) An evening stroll from our hotel to Dinh Cau Temple to admire the nightlife, enjoying the cool sea breeze & scenic views of the coastline.
