Day 4 Wednesday Jan 21 2026 (Phu Quoc Island, Rach Gia & Can Tho, Vietnam) - saying bye bye to my 3 nights stay in Phu Quoc Island, took a Grab car from our hotel to Cai Bai Vong Jetty for a high speed ferry ride to Rach Gia Port & a connecting MPV vehicle ride to Can Tho (approx 103km) for an overnight stay before heading to Ho Chi Minh City.

Travel itinerary: high speed ferry ride from Cang Bai Vong Phu Quoc Express Port / Jetty > Rach Gia Port, Vietnam (approx 120km, 2.5 > 3hr high speed ferry)

Travel itinerary: Rach Gia > Can Tho (approx 103km) 

1) My morning breakfast at a roadside stall opposite Thuan Hai Hotel prior to our hotel check-out & Grab car ride to the Phu Quoce Island jetty, savoured a plate of BBQ pork rice (35K VND = Rm5.50), bought mandarin oranges & bananas from a nearby fruit stall. 

2) Cang Bai Vong jetty, Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam - took a Grab car ride (70K VND = Rm11) from our hotel to Cang Bai Vong jetty for a high speed ferry ride to Rach Gia Port, Vietnam. 

3) Boarding a high speed ferry (Phu Quoc Express, ferry ticket 260K VND = Rm42 = US$10) from the jetty (departing 10.00) to Rach Gia (approx 120 km, 2.5 > 3hrs) 

4) Arriving in Rach Gia Port, Vietnam - Rach Gia is the Mekong Delta's quiet gate away (by high speed ferry boats) to Phu Quoc & Nam Du islands with canals, a busy fishing port & a night market.  

5) Rach Gia Bus Station, Vietnam - opposite the boat jetty, resting at the waiting lounge prior to my MPV van departure (14.30). 

6) A little sightseeing & walkabout in downtown Rach Gia - a quiet fishing port / town, canals, steel bridge, drying of herbs on the street, temples etc 

7) Ben Trong Den Toung Niem Temple, Rach Gia, Vietnam - a large temple complex nearby the Rach Gia Port. 

8) Cang Vu Hang Hai, Rach Gia, Kien Giang Province, Vietnam

9) Light refreshment in our MPV van travel agent's cafe, opposite the Rach Gia port prior to boarding our MPV limousine to Can Tho (departing 14.30)

10) Suburban & countryside scenery as viewed from the moving MPV limousine from Rach Gia > Can Tho, Vietnam. 

11) Hotel Accommodation: my 1 night stay in FIT Hotel, Can Tho, Vietnam, room tariff Rm58 (US$14), 2 single beds, free coffee & tea in hotel cafe. 

12) My solo evening walk to the riverfront area  of Can Tho, Vietnam - approx 1.2km from our hotel.
