My 9 days 7 nights Package Tour to Guizhou, China (March 18 > 26 2025) Day 4 March 21 2025 Part 1

Friday March 21 2025 (Day 4 ) Part 1 - after staying overnight in Zhaoxing Dong Village, today we had 3 sightseeing places to visit ie Kala Miao Village, Danzhai Wanda Town & Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village. A long bus journey (over 4 hours) awaiting us !   

1) Hotel buffet breakfast (Yunge Resort Hotel, Zhaoxing) - limited choice of breakfast food so a simple breakfast of the day for me after the hotel check-out to our next destination, Kala Village, approx 2.5 hours bus journey from Zhaoxing ! A village with a 400 years history of birdcage weaving, sliver wares making ! 

2) Exiting the Zhaoxing Mio Village - after the breakfast, it was time to say bye bye to Dong Village & a last glimpse of this China's minority village with a history of over 800 years old, the yellow rapeseed flower fields brighten up our morning as we exited the Dong Village for our next destination, Danzhai Kala Village, a Miao Village in Qiandongnan, Guizhou. 

3) Sightseeing No 1 - Qiandongnan Danzhai Kala Village - approx 165km from Zhaoxing, a Miao village rich in cultural heritage & also known as China Silversmith Village, 70% of the locals have mastered the Miao's silver jewelry making technique which has a history of 600 years !  

4) Our tour group listening attentively to a Miao official on the history & culture of the Kala Village followed by an educational tour of the village ..... brief introduction of Miao herbal medicine & treatment, Miao traditional dressing & festivals, Miao wedding ceremony & silver making workshop & showroom, Miao handicrafts & wear for purchases etc. 

5) Sightseeing No 2 - Danzhai Wanda Town, a tourism town built as part of Wanda's poverty programme in Danzhai County, the drum tower & the drum tower arch / square are the major landmarks here.  

6) Our tour group's lunch in a local restaurant in Danzhai Wanda Town, Guizhou - a big table serving an array of Miao-style restaurant food hopefully suite your taste bud ! I am not fussy with Chinese food so I tried every dish of the food served on the table !
