My 21 days - Overland Train Rides from Malaysia > Thailand > Laos > China (Feb 10 > March 2 2025) - Kunming, China / Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia March 2 2025 (Final Day)

March 2 2023 (Day 21 Final) - my group's final day in Kunming. For our return journey, we chose to taking a China Eastern Airlines back to my home country, Malaysia (flight time 3.5 hours) thus ending my 21 days exciting free & easy overland train trip covering Thailand, Laos & southern China. A great outcome indeed having visited a number of touristy places / highlights in Bangkok & Udon Thani (Thailand); Vientiane, Vang Vieng, Luang Prabang (Laos) & Xishuangbana, Pu'er & Kunming (China) fulfilling my dream (long overdue) of taking the Laos-China Railway rides between both countries since my first visit to Laos in 2011 & 2017 ! Needless to say, there is "no free lunch" for taking on this trip which requires tedious micro planning especially cross border immigration clearance & logistic planning to the final destinations ! 

1) Hotel buffet breakfast (08.00) prior to hotel check out (09.15) to Kunming Changsui Airport by a Didi ride.  

2) Didi e-hailing car ride (CNY60 = Rm36) from Dreamscape Rainbow Hotel (Kunming Station South Ring Road Subway Station), Chuncheng Road, Kunming > Kunming Changsui International Airport. 

3) Flight on board (comfortable, spacious seats) the China Eastern Airlines departing Kunming at 12.55 & a delicious in-flight meal 

4) Arriving (16.30) at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA1) - shuttle bus to KLIA1 Airport Complex, immigration clearance, luggage collection etc. 

5) KLIA Airport shuttle bus ride departing 18.00 (Rm10, Senior) > KL Sentral followed by a Rapid KL LRT ride from KL Sentral > SS15, Subang Jaya. Selamat Datang (Welcome) ! Home Sweet Home once again !
