Day 8 Thursday Sept 5 2024 (continued) - after the Mengliang Ethnic Park visit, our last visit of the day is Hasuhai Lake, one of the largest alpine lake in China ! Our group had a dinner in a hotel's restaurant in Kanbashi District before heading to the Ordos International Airport for our return flight to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia thus ending our 9 days 7 nights package tour to Inner Mongolia !  

1) Hasuhai Lake, Inner Mongolia - Just a few words to describe about our tour group's visit to Hasuhai, also known as "West Lake beyond the Great Wall", an alpine lake, south of Daqing mountains, water originating from Yellow River, Mongolian grasslands, Ordos plateau steppe, sacred lotus, boat tours, white fluffy clouds floating in deep blue sky (no wonder Mongolia is called the "Land of the Blue Sky") ...... Hasuhai Lake has become a popular tourist destination in recent years !

5) Hasuhai Lotus Garden, Inner Mongolia - approx 86km from Hohhot, located on the south of Daqing Mountain, a natural lake, covering 32 sq km & the water depth is about 2m, the bottom of the lake is overgrown with fertile water & is rich in grass carp, silver carp, carp, crucian carp, shrimp & crab, boats or bikes for hire if you are keen to do a round the lake cruise or sightseeing .....

12) Showroom display of Old Moutai (White Spirits), Lang Jing Hotel, Kanbashi District, Ordos, Inner Mongolia - Moutai is a town in Guizhou with a history of 50 years old in "baijiu" distillery, Moutai participated & won a prize in Panama Pacific International Exposition in 1915 !  My second visit before having our dinner meal in Lang Jing Hotel, Kangbashi, near to Ordos International Airport.  

13) Our tour group's dinner in a banquet restaurant, Lang Jing Hotel, Kanbashi District, Inner Mongolia - yummy yummy hotel food ! 

14) Ordos Ejin Horo International Airport, Inner Mongolia - arriving at the airport (18.30) for our flight & luggage check-in (ETD21.45) & immigration & security clearance; but due to unforeseen circumstances, there was a flight delay of 35 minutes & finally our plane (Batik Air) took off at 22.20 ! Bye bye Inner Mongolia ! Thank you for making our stay so pleasant & enjoyable & for your great hospitality ! 

15) Meal on board the plane (Batik Air) - dry chilli chicken rice ! It was close to mid-night when I took this meal on board, a mid-night cowboy taking a mid-night dinner & looking forward an early morning arrival in KLIA Airport (05.00) Home Sweet Home at last, after a 9 day roaming Inner Mongolia learning as much as possible the Mongolian history dating back 800 years ago, paying & enjoying sightseeing, eating & sleeping in the Land of Blue Sky !

16) Arriving in Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA1) at 05.00 after almost 6 hours of flight; after immigration clearance & luggage collection, both myself & my wife took a e-hailing Grab (Rm68) from the airport > SS17, Subang Jaya, Selangor (my home place). Home Sweet Home at last thus another accomplishment for me in the world of travelling to China (this time to Inner Mongolia), what a refreshing (pleasantly different & interesting) experience !
