Yong Peng, Johor (Yong Peng in Chinese means Everlasting Peace) is a town in Mukim Tanjung Semberong, Batu Pahat District, Johor, located 38km from Kluang or 66km from Muar; early Chinese migrants from Chaozhou in 1847, British influence & rule of Johor in 1870s, Yong Peng is known for its Fuzhou style cuisine, Fuzhou fish balls & Fuzhou bread; the 3 tourist attractions are Tian Pao Kong Temple, Fortune Dragon & Black Dragon Cave Temple.
1) Tian Pao Kong Temple, Yong Peng, Johor - 2nd tallest in the world for Ji Gong brass statute (68ft), Ji Gong is also known as "Chan Master Daoji" was a Chan Buddhist monk who lived in the Southern Song, he purportedly possessed supernatural powers, which he used to help the poor & stand up to injustice; along the trail, there are 18 Ro Han stone statutes, Guan Yin, Guan Yi, God of Wisdom, God of Wealth, Wishing Tree, Bridge of Peace etc due to Covid-19 pandemic, all the 3 touristy places our group visited in Yong Peng had less than 10 visitors at the time of our visit !

2) Fortune Dragon, Yong Peng - built by Che Ann Khor Peng Association, entrance fee Rm25 (adult) & Rm10 (children & senior citizen), visitors very much lacking at the time of our group visit ! A great place for Instagram !
3) Black Dragon Cave Temple, Yong Peng - one of the largest Taoist temple in Johor, saw an unusual tree which produces an exotic fruit resembles that of "yuanbao", a type of gold or silver ingot currency used in imperial China during the earlier Qin dynasty till the falls of Qing dynasty !

4) Restoran Kari Kambing 40 Hari, Yong Peng, Johor - long queue during the lunch hours, famous for its Nasi Arab with curry muttom or chicken.
