Kluang, Johor - the name Kluang derives from the Malay word "keluang" which means a type of flying fox or fruit bat; Kluang town is the district capital of Kluang District, Johor; the other two landlocked districts are Segamat & Kulai, Kluang was founded in 1915 as the administrative capital of central Johor by the British.
Travel Highlights:
1) Original Kluang Rail Coffee (since 1938), Jalan Station, Kluang, Johor - a brief visit on our first day arrival in Kluang & a late lunch on our second day after our Yong Peng & Ayer Hitam visit; waiting time 10 minutes in late afternoon but may be longer during the early morning breakfast & lunch hours; nice ambience & food is superb especially the hot aromatic coffee & kaya & butter bread !

10) Laman Pesona Kluang (Light & Garden), Street Art Alley, Kluang, Johor - Laman Pesona has a garden with benches for people to sit & relax, there is an outdoor sound system that replicates the sound of nature; the alleys
11) Laman Kreatif, Street Art Alley, Kluang, Johor - provides an insight into the history of Kluang, which was founded in 1915.
12) The largest Mural in Street Art Alley, Kluang - completed in 2017 by Tao Chua, it depicts 5 children of various communities engaged in folding a kutupat together !
