Day 5 Thursday June 25 2026 (Koh Samui) - my 2nd day in Koh Samui island, visited the Chaweng Beach & the bustling Beach Road by day & night just to get a feel & vibes of this famous paradise in southern Thailand. My last visit to Koh Samui was in June 2013 !
1) Early morning walk in Chaweng Beach, Koh Samui, enjoy the cool sea breeze of the Andaman Sea, the fine white sand beach & beach resorts etc

2) Central Samui Mall, Koh Samui - shopping mall with good selection of retail shops, restaurants, cafes, outdoor market & a large Tops supermarket, located in the world tourist paradise, situated in a serene seaside setting in Chaweng Beach, the mall is within easy reach of the island's airport, our hotel is annexed to the mall hence a great place to take "refuge" inside the mall especially in the late morning & midday when the outside temperature is scotching hot !

3) Travel agency reception booth (opening hour 08.00) in Cosi Samui Chaweng Beach Hotel - bought my combo MPV van / ferry / bus ticket (1,100bht) for my return journey from Koh Samui > Krabi, my next destination, collected some tourism brochures on inter - islands & city tours.
4) Early morning walkabout (08.00 > 09.30) in Chaweng Beach Road & Beach Resort Hotels, Koh Samui - street walk from Central Samui Mall to Ark Bar, exploratory visit & window shopping !

5) Beach resort hotels in Chaweng Beach Road, Koh Samui - loitering our time in nearby beach resorts along the Chaweng Beach & lazing on the beach to admire the serene surrounding !

6) Bought a takeaway pack of fried chicken / Pad Thai (69bht + Rm8.40)) from Tops Supermarket to be eaten as lunch in the comfort of our hotel room.

7) DIY fruit dessert (sliced apples & cucumber) with roasted sesame sauce - very appetising !
8) Tourism brochures promoting a popular one day Koh Samui city tour covering 7 touristy places in the island.
9) Our visit in Koh Samui coincided with the staging of the Samui Hospitality Pride Icon 2026 Competition & Pride Parade in Central Samui Mall, we spent almost an hour seated & watching this captivating specialty event in the evening, very entertaining & interesting !
10) Our starry starry night & leisure walk in Chaweng Beach & Beach Road to get a feel of the atmosphere & vibes in this charming island paradise !
11) Bought two packages of mayonnaise tuna sandwich & raisin bread from a nearby 7-Eleven shop for our tomorrow breakfast as we have an exciting day taking a combo bus & ferry ride from Koh Samui > Krabi.
