Day 22 Wednesday Sept 17 2025 (Jiayuguan, Gansu) Part 2 - spent our day doing a walkabout in downtown Jiayuguan & visited the Nashi Mosque, Jiayuguan City Museum, Donghu Ecology Tourism Area & enjoyed our noodle lunch & dinner in Da Tang Gourmet Street.  

1) A morning stroll along the Tiyu Avenue nearby our hotel 

2) Breakfast in a eatery stall (steamed pork bao buns + black porridge each pay Y$8) nearby our hotel 

3) Walkabout in downtown Jiayuguan, Gansu 

4) Art murals featuring ancient Silk Road & Western history in downtown Jiayuguan.

5) Nanshi Mosque (North Gate), Jiayuguan, Gansu - 

6) Jiayuguan City Museum, Gansu - focuses on the city's development process, showcasing valuable photographs & artifacts that reflect its history. 

7) Bus ride from Jiayuguan Museum > Donghu Ecology Tourism Area, Jiayuguan, Gansu

8) Donghu Ecology Tourism Area, Jiayuguan, Gansu - designed with the concept of people-oriented, water centered & greenery-based, Donghu lakes function as the city's "green lung", beautiful lakes & park & an ideal place for family outing & hangout. 

9) Dolphin shaped Meteorological Tower, Donghu Ecology Tourism Area, Jiayuguan, Gansu - free admission for seniors above 70+, took a lift up to the 15th floor to view the panorama of the Donghu lakes & the surrounding environment. 

10) Jiayuguan Xiongguan Museum, Gansu - front gate locked hence no show. 

11) Da Tang Meishijie (Gourmet Street), Jiayuguan, Gansu - a gourmet & food paradise, both sides lined  with a number of eatery stalls & restaurants serving authentic local food dishes ! 

12) Lunch in a local restaurant in Da Tang Food Street, Jiayuguan, Gansu - savoured a plate of minced pork ramen soup (Y$18) & pork rib flat noodle soup (Y20). 

13) Evening walk from our hotel to downtown Jiayuguan & Da Tang Gourmet Steet by Night.

14) Noodle dinner in a local restaurant (2nd visit) in Da Tang Gourmet Street, Jiayuguan, Gansu, both of us shared a plate of tomato flavoured ramen (Y$18) served in large portion + complementary small millet drink !  After the dinner, we took a leisure walk back to our hotel & retired for bed !
