| Italian Style Street, Tianjin |
Day 4 Sunday Oct 13 2024 (Beijing > Tianjin) Part 1 - after our 3 nights stay in Beijing, our next destination is Tianjin. Took a highspeed train ride from Beijingnan > Tianjin (approx 117km). After our hotel check-in, made a visit to the famous Italian Style Street in downtown Tianjin. In the following evening, I & my wife showed up again in Italian Style Street & our first visit to 66 Riverside Pedestrian Street !
1) Bought a breakfast set of sandwiches, soya bean drink & pastries / snacks from a favourite bakery stall located next to the Jiangtai Metro Station, Beijing.
2) Metro train ride from Jiangtai Station > Beijingnan Station to board a highspeed train to Tianjin.
3) Highspeed train ride from Beijingnan > Tianjin Station - departing 09.34, ticket price Rmb54.50 = Rm33 (travelling time 30 minutes)
4) Arriving in Tianjin Station
5) Metro train ride from Tianjin Station > Yingkoudao Station for our hotel check-in
6) Exiting the Yingkoudao Metro Station & a short walk (210m) > Meihao Lizhi Hotel, Nanjing Road, Heping District, Tianjin
7) Hotel Accommodation: our group's 2 nights stay in Meihao Lizhi Hotel, Nanjing Road, Heping District, Tianjin, room tariff Rm172.50 per night, twin sharing.
8) Walkabout in Metropolitan Plaza located next to our hotel.
9) Small Eat - lunch in a noodle stall in Metropolitan Plaza, Tianjin - each of us savoured a bowl of Yunnan chicken rice vermicelli (Rmb21.90 = Rm13.20) & Yunnan mushroom rice vermicelli (Rmb25 = Rm15).
10) Metro train ride from Yingkoudao Station > Hepinglu Station & a leisure walk to Italian Style Street & Tourist Area.
11) The start of my walkabout in Italian Style Street, Tianjin - resembling that of a typical town & character in Europe !
12) Tianjin Memory Museum - free admission, a down the memory lane visit through pictorial presentations & narratives of Old Tianjin during the pre-war days !
13) Continuing my walkabout in Italian Style Street, Tianjin
14) Return journey - metro train ride from Jianguodao station > Yingkoudao station (nearby our hotel)
