Day 6 Tuesday Oct 15 2024 (Tianjin > Shijiazhuang) - after staying for 2 nights in Tianjin, it was time to move on & our 3rd city of visit in this China trip is Shijiazhuang, capital of Hebei, my first visit ! Upon arrival & after the hotel check-in, our group made a visit to Hubei Museum & an evening visit to Liberation Square & Wanglimiao Pedestrian Street.
1) Hotel buffet breakfast in Meihao Lizhi Hotel, Tianjin prior to our group's train ride to Shijiazhuang
2) Hotel check-out & a metro train ride from Yingkoudao Station > Tianjin Station to board a high speed train to Shijiazhuang (332km, 1.5hr).
3) High speed train ride (Rmb131 = Rm80) from Tianjin Station (ETD 11.08) > Shijiazhuang Station
4) Arriving in Shijiazhuang Station
5) Metro train ride from Shijiazhuang Station > Ping'an Dajie Station for our hotel check-in (200m walk from metro station)
6) Hotel Accommodation - our group's 2 nights stay in Home Inn, 2, Donghua Road, Qiandong District, Qiaoxi District, Shijiazhuang; room tariff Rm107 = US$24.60 twin sharing
7) Small Eat - lunch in a Food Court nearby our hotel, each of us savoured a bowl of ramen noodle soup / chicken drumstick & noodle soup duck drumstick (Rmb16 + Rmb17 = Rmb33 = Rm19.80)
8) Hubei Museum, Shijiazhuang - e-hailing a cab from nearby our hotel > Hebei Museum. I enjoyed visiting China history museums, but due to time constraints, I was not able to visit all the exhibition halls in Hubei Museum !
9) A tall display of Flower Basket in conjunction with the China's National Day Celebrations (Oct 1 - 7), Hebei Museum, Shijiazhuang
10) Ticketing Counter & Front Entrance, Hebei Museum - free admission for senior citizens above 70s.
11) The Main Hall, Hebei Museum, Shijiazhuang
12) Quyang Stone Carving exhibits, Hebei Museum, Shijiazhuang
13) The Mighty Ancient Zhongshan State - exhibits of artifacts & cultural relics.
14) The Treasure of Han Dynasty & The Story of State Zhao & Yan - exhibits of The Han Tombs in Mancheng County
15) Exhibits of The Stone Age of Hebei, Hebei Museum, Shijiazhuang
16) Metro train ride from Bowuyuan Station > Jiefangguangchang station
17) Liberation Square, Shijiazhuang
18) Wanlimiao Pedestrian Street, Shijiazhuang - opposite the Liberation Square & next to the Jiefangguangchang Metro Station.
19) Bought an assorted of breads / pastries from a newly opened Bakery Shop in Wanlimiao Pedestrian Street, Shijiazhuang, all items on sale enjoyed a 50% discount !
20) Metro train ride from Jefangguangchang > Ping'an dajie & a short walk to Home Inn Hotel
21) Small Eat - a light dinner (Rmb8 = Rm4.80) in a Food Court nearby our hotel after the Wanlimiao Pedestrian Street visit.
22) Window shopping & walkabout in Enjoy City Mall & the surrounding nearby our hotel after the dinner.
