D-19 Thursday Aug 27 2026 (Kuitun, Xinjiang) - my 2nd day in Kuytun, Xinjiang, focussing our visit in downtown Kuytun ie Hongqi Snack Street, Xiagang Street Night Market, Botanical Garden, Lin Zhexu Memorial Hall & Hua Lian Temple.
Public Transport: 2 bus rides (CNY1 + 1)
1) My simple complementary buffet breakfast in the hotel.
2) My solo morning walk to a youth garden & downtown Kuytun nearby my hotel.
3) Hongqi Snack Street, Kuytun, Xinjiang - a popular budget friendly spot for quick local snacks.

4) My morning walk in Xiagang Street Night Market - bought & takeaway soya milk drink (CNY1.50) & 2 red dates vegetable dumpling (CNY3).
5) Kuytun Botanical Garden, Xinjiang - a peaceful park located in the Kuytun City within the Northern Xinjiang region, the garden is surrounded by a lively mix of landscapes, the Lin Zexu Theme Park, the Bibo Lake, a traditional cultural park & a small zoo, took a public bus (CNY1) nearby our hotel to Kuytun Botanical Garden.
6) Lin Gogge Theme Park, Kuytun, Xinjiang - the No 7 Lin Zhexu Memorial Hall in China, built in 2015 dedicated to Lin Zhexu, a Qing dynasty national hero who fought the opium trade.
7) Lian Hua Temple, Kuytun Botanical Garden.
8) Hongqi Shopping Mall, Kuytun, Xinjiang - bus ride (CNY1) to Hongqi shopping mall, downtown Kuytun nearby our hotel.
9) Dinner in a local restaurant - roasted duck meat rice (CNY21) + crispy pork (CNY19)

11) Xiagang Street Night Market, Kuytun, Xinjiang - a bustling neighbourhood street market that is highly popular with local residents, located approx 300m from our hotel, bought moon cakes, sesame & walnut pastries (CNY14.50) for trial tasting.
