Day 2 Tuesday June 11 2024 (Part 2) - after the Kukup Fishing Village & Tanjung Piah National Park visits, we made our first visit to Sungei Pulai Bridge heading towards Iskandar Puteri, Johor Bahru & focused our visits to Forest City / Water Park, Legoland Malaysia Resort & hotel check-in (Tune Hotel). In the evening, we visited Jalan Wong Ah Fook, Johor Bahru City Square & JB Old Chinese Temple.
Tanjung Pial > Sungei Pulai Bridge (approx 22km) |
1) Sungei Pulai Bridge, Johor - this new bridge connects Gelang Patah in Johor Bahru with Tanjung Bin in Pontian, opened to traffic on Jan 2023, the bridge has a length of 7.5km comprising a 2.1km long bridge over the Pulai river, nice view of mangrove swamps / wetland & Tanjung Pelepas Port.
4) Forest City Water Park - nice to have a stroll & taking Instagram photos !
6) Legoland Malaysia Resort, Iskandar Puteri, Johor - a theme park opened in Sept 2012 with over 40 interactive rides, shows & attractions, the 1st Legoland theme park in Asia & the 6th in the world upon its establishment, admission ticket for theme park only Rm169 (US$38, Senior Citizen), did not pay to enter, just external visit only !
9) Walkabout in Jalan Wong Ah Fook, Johor Bahru, Johor - located in Johor Bahru's central business district & is one of the busiest roads in the city, a number of old historic buildings are found here, the city centre of Johor Bahru is the closest to Singapore, linked by a Johor - Singapore Causeway Bridge (approx 1km long).
10) JB Old Chinese Temple, Jalan Tuas, Bandar Johor Bahru, Johor - a 130 years old Taoist temple, located in the city centre flanked by modern skyscrapers
11) Komtar JBCC, City Centre, Johor Bahru, Johor - one of the best shopping mall in Johor Bahru, located in the main shopping & entertainment & tourism district of Johor Bahru.
12) Johor Bahru City Square, Jalan Wong Ah Fook, Bandar Johor Bahru, Johor - a shopping centre & office building close to the Johor-Singapore Causeway which borders the two countries in Wong Ah Fook street, Johor Bahru.
13) Dinner in Ho Seng Kee, Rooftop Bazar, Johor Bahru City Square, Johor Bahru, Johor, our group savoured a plate of gourmet wan tan mee (Rm15 & large Rm22), prawn dumpling mee (Rm23), soya bean curd (Rm5) & green bean dessert (Rm5) - totalled Rm92 (US$20.60)
