" My Staycation No 17 (Transition to Endemic Phase) free & easy solo visit (09.00 > 12.30) to Memorial Tuanku Abdul Rahman Putra (Malaysia's First Prime Minister), Kuala Lumpur on Saturday July 2 2022, travelling by Rapid KL LRT & KTM trains from Subang Jaya, my 50th outdoor trip after a National Lockdown (Movement Control Order / Emergency) imposed by the Malaysian Government on May 6 2021 due to a spike in Covid-19 cases; a National Vaccination campaign is currently being implemented by the Malaysian Government (Phase 1 started in Feb 2021), as at Feb 5 2022, a total of 22.9 million individuals or 97.9% of the adult population in Malaysia have completed their Covid-19 vaccinations; Malaysia is now under the Transition to Endemic Phase starting from April 1 2022, an exit strategy that could allow Malaysians to return to near-normal life after nearly 2 over years of battling the pandemic "

Total expenses incurred: Free of Charge - a month long free Rapid KL LRT, MRT & KTM train rides in Klang Valley declared by Malaysian Government for travelling from June 16 > July 15 2022.
1) Free Rapid KL LRT train ride from SS15, Subang Jaya > KL Sentral (08.45 > 09.30) & another KTM train ride from KL Sentral to Bank Negara (09.50 > 10.05)

2) Memorial Tunku Abdul Rahman (Malaysia 1st Prime Minister), Jalan Dato Onn, Kuala Lumpur - a museum commemorating the life & achievements of Tunku Abdul Rahman from 1957 > 1970, part of the museum is an old colonial style building is the official home of Tunku; block A & B on both sides of the Tunku's original Residency bungalow houses the bulks of the exhibits; a surprise & my first visit as this Memorial is located just opposite the Bank Negara Museum & Art Gallery which was the original intention of my today's outing, as I had not made a pre-booking for an appointment to visit the Bank Negara Museum, I had no choice but to return home ! So near yet so far but I shall return !

Bank Negara (Central Bank) Museum & Art Gallery, Sasana Kijang No 2, Jalan Dato Onn, Kuala Lumpur - unable to visit the museum without a prior appointment but advised that every Tuesday, walk-in visitors are allowed entry ! So I skipped this museum visit & shall return the following week, probably on Tuesday !

Home Sweet Home - my return journey, free Rapid KL LRT train ride from Bandar Raya LRT station > Subang Jaya; Bank Negara KTM station is linked to Rapid KL Bandaraya station, I opted to take the Rapid KL LRT Kelana Jaya Line for a transit in Masjid Jamek to Subang Jaya due to shorter waiting time & a faster train ride !

Grocery shopping in Aeon Big Supermarket, Subang Jaya (opposite the Subang Jaya LRT station) before heading home ! Thus ended my beautiful Saturday morning "fever" visit - a very historic & meaningful one !
