Day 5 Thursday 7 Nov 2019 - our group's day trip to Jade Dragon Mountain, Lijiang, Yunnan
1) Front entrance to Jade Dragon Glacier Park, Lijiang - our group spent the whole day here as this Jade Dragon mountain visit includes a cable car ride to the glacier park, a lunch, a visit to Blue Valley, an one hour of Impression Yunnan show & transportation - if paid on your own, the cost of the entrance ticket for these 4 activities will be around CNY600 per pax (Rm360) !
2) Shuttle bus to ropeway
3) Ropeway to Jade Dragon Glacier Park (3,356m > 4,506m)
4) Ascending - Jade Dragon Mountain sceneries as viewed from the ropeway
5) Arriving at the Glacier Park Tour Area of Jade Dragon Mountain - misty & foggy for a short while, temperature was - 4C; bought a cannister of oxygen (CNY60) for emergency use !
6) Sceneries of Jade Dragon Mountain Peak at 4,506m above sea level - clear blue sky, bright sunlight, windy, moving clouds, white snowy peak, spectacular view but freezing cold ! Memories made in the mountain stay in your heart forever !
" Jade Dragon Mountain is a small mountain range in Yulong Naxi Autonomous County, Lijiang, Yunnan. Its highest peak is named Shanzidou and is 5,596m above sea level ! "
7) Descending - by ropeway from the mountain top to front entrance; after spending about 45mins at the Glacier Park area ! We were advised that one should not spend more than 1hr 30mins at the Glacier Park (above 4,000m) due to the lack of oxygen which may affect your lungs & cause breathing difficulties ….
