6) Queenstown > Franz Josef (Bus)

My 6th bus ride (Naked Bus) departing Queensland (outside the Station Building on the corner of the Shotover St & camp St to Franz Josef (bus stop, main road, opposite the 4 Square) 08.00>14.15 - 353km

Queenstown is very picturesque & scenic so for this first trip to New Zealand, I stayed a total of 3 nights in this resort town. The hostel I stayed was within a stone throw from the Lake Wakatipu ! 

While in Queenstown, I spent half a day in Arrow Town & a full day joining a Milford Sound tour program. The rest of my time was spent visiting the surrounding areas in Lake Wakatipu & the Botanical Gardens. 

I observed that Queenstown has the charm to attract local & overseas tourists - so there was a hive of activities for tourists to participate ie jet boating, bungee jumping, cable car rides, sky diving, mountain hiking etc in & around Queenstown. You could also do a day trip to Lake Wanaka.
