My 4th bus ride (InterCity) departing Kaikoura (1 of 3 bus stops by public carpark between public toilet & I-site on the West End to Christchurch Bus Exchange, Lichfield Street - Regional Platform (12.35>15.25) - 181km
The bus passed through a stretch of breathtaking coastline running parallel to the Coastal Pacific train line & the South Pacific Ocean.
I made an overnight stay at Kaikoura before heading to Christchurch from Picton. The Whale Watch station runs a number of whale watch trips daily for tourists. I spent the rest of the afternoon & enjoyed the coastal walk during my short stay in this coastal town, located mid-way between Picton & Christchurch.
