September is a Autumn & Fall month, the fall of leaves (clearly not a deliberate odd-turn or fall but a natural transition from summer to winter) in the Northern Hemisphere & the weather turns cooler & pleasant but in the tropics like my home country, Malaysia, this time of the year you could expect more monsoon rainfall (also due to drastic climate change) & severe flooding in coaster & low lying areas ! As a passionate traveller, a number of Little LIFE Pleasure happenings in September 2024 had "fallen" on me ! Inner Mongolian (China) Package Tour (August 29 > Sept 6), Malaysia MATTA Travel Fair (Sept 7), my elder son & wife birthday's month & a little eat-out, Malaysia National Day (Sept 16), Mid-Autumn Moon Cake Festival (Sept 17), a weekend little outing to Museum Negara (Sept 21), Putrajaya Wetlands Park & IOI City Mall (Sept 22), a little meet-up with my ex-travel buddy, Mr Choy (Sept 24), a Sunday visit (last weekend of the Sept month) to a newly opened Masjid Jamek Cina Muslim (Chinese Muslim) mosque in the royal Klang town (Sept 29) ...... certainly not a dull but a cheerful & eventful September for me in 2024 ! As for October 2024, both my wife & myself together with two of my travel buddies will be going on a 14 days free & easy visit (Oct 10 > 24) to Beijing, Tianjin, Shijiazhuang, Jingxing County & Gubei Water Town (Northern China) ..... for beer drinkers you could look forward to Oktoberfest (Sept 21 > Oct 6) & for coffee drinkers, read more about International Coffee Day (Oct 1) & for ladies who enjoy fashion shopping, buy a Octopus card as soon as you land in Hong Kong airport & begin your shopping spree till the last penny !
Sunday Sept 29 2024 - taking a cue from a local English newspaper (The Star) reporting & out of curiosity, I (together with my 3 sisters) made a visit to a new & iconic Chinese style Masjid Jamek Cina Muslim in Klang approx 26km from my home place, Subang Jaya, Selangor.

Masjid Jamek Cina Muslim (Chinese Muslim), Klang, Selangor - located in Bander Botanik, a new icon cultural & religious harmony in Selangor, the mosque stands out with its striking Chinese architectural elements, a design inspired by the Great Mosque of Xian in China, opened to the public in late August 2024, now a tourist attraction in Selangor ! My last visit to Xian, China was in May 2017 & visited the popular Muslim Street & enjoyed savouring the Muslim food in Xian !

Tuesday Sept 24 2024 - meet-up for a breakfast with my ex-travel buddy, Mr Choy in Moorthy Mathai Restaurant, USJ4, Subang Jaya; KM's delight ie Indian dosa & cham hot drink (a mixed coffee & tea hot drink), a treat from Mr Choy's friend who joined our breakfast; Choy was my travel buddy to China (Sept 2013 & Sept 2014) & Cambodia (Jan 2014).
Sunday Sept 22 2024 - together with my wife & sisters Inn, Peng & Mei, our group of 5 made a 1st time visit (by self-drive car) to Putrajaya Wetlands Park & Putrajaya IOI City Mall followed by a healthy food lunch in Salad Atelier (using a Rm20 discount voucher from Sister Mei), IOI Mall. A beautiful Sunday outing indeed !
Travel itinerary: Subang Jaya > Taman Equine (my sisters home place) > Putrajaya Wetlands Park > Putrajaya IOI City Mall (approx 38km one way)
1) Putrajaya IOI City Mall - opened in Nov 2014, located within IOI Resort City, Putrajaya, the largest shopping mall in South Klang Valley, my 1st time visit !

Putrajaya Wetlands - located in Precinct 13, Putrajaya (Malaysia's 3rd federal territory after Kuala Lumpur in 1974 & Labuan in 1984), the largest man-made freshwater wetland park in Malaysia & tropics, 335 hectares, comprises 24 wetland cells, within walking distance to Putrajaya Botani Park, Taman Wetland is the main stopover for visitors such as a Nature Interpretive Centre, Lookout Tower, Flamingo Pond, walking trails & other public amenities.
1) Wetlands Studio, Putrajaya Wetlands - a unique technology-driven indoor entertainment theme park promoting environmental awareness & wildlife conservation; admission ticket Rm30 (US$7) for adult & Rm15 (US$3.50) for senior; skipped entry, just external visit only ! My 1st visit to Putrajaya Wetlands !

Museum Negara (National Museum), Jalan Damansara, Kuala Lumpur - a national heritage, a public museum officially opened on August 31 1963, dedicated to Malaysian art, culture & history, located close to Perdana Lake Gardens across KL Sentral Station. My last visit to Museum Negara was in Aug 2018 ! Entrance fee for Seniors is Rm1 (US$0.23) ! Museum Negara is 2 MRT stops from Stadium Merdeka or 1 LRT stop from Pasar Seni station.
Travel itinerary: SS15, Subang Jaya (Rapid KL LRT train) > Stadium Merdeka > Muzium Negara > Pasar Seni (transit) > SS15, Subang Jaya (4 train rides Rm4.80 = US$1.10 Senior).
2) Stadium Merdeka, Kuala Lumpur - not officially opened so no access to the stadium interior but will KIV a visit when ready, this venue is also very near to the new Menara 118 Tower, now in the final phase of construction, hopefully open to the republic by early next year ! Took a Rapid KL LRT train from SS15, Subang Jaya > Pasar Seni (transit) > Stadium Negara (Rm2 = US$0.46 for Seniors).
Wednesday Sept 18 2024 (10.30 > 13.30) - window shopping in Sunway Pyramid Shopping Mall, Sunway Pyramid Hotel & Sunway Lagoon + a birthday lunch (savouring a bowl of wonton noodle, pork chop & a Cham hot drink totalled Rm54 = US$12.30 inclusive of tax) with my wife in Nanyang Cafe (my favourite cafe chain), Sunway Pyramid Shopping Mall, Bandar Sunway, Petaling Jaya, Selangor

Tuesday Sept 17 2024 (08.30 > 10.00) - today is Mid-Autumn (Moon Cake) Festival; as done in the past, I spent my evening gluing to my sofa seat to watch an entertaining live telecast of the CCTV4 2024 "Blue Moon Mid-Autumn Evening Performance" ! Millions of local Chinese in China & overseas Chinese worldwide also share the same sentiments like me & my family members to celebrate & enjoy this festive occasion !
Tuesday Sept 17 2024 (11.00 > 14.00) - a home cooked lunch with my wife in my elder sister Inn, Mei & Peng's house in Taman Equine, Seri Kembangan, Selangor in conjunction with the Mid-Autumn (Moon Cake) Festival.
Saturday Sept 14 2024 - dinner in Oriental Parade (newly opened), Subang Parade, Subang Jaya (near my home place) with my family members in conjunction with my wife & elder son's birthday in the month of Sept ! Ordered from the food menu 6 Chinese dishes + White Rice + Chinese Tea = Rm311 (US$70 inclusive of taxes) for a table of 5. A great family evening & yummy food !
Saturday Sept 7 2024 MATTA Fair - attended the Sept 2024 Malaysian Association of Tour & Travel Agents (MATTA) Fair which was held bi-annually in Malaysian International Trade Exhibition Centre, Kuala Lumpur (March 2024 & Sept 6 > 8 2024), picked up various tourist information covering China (North & South Xinjiang, Guizhou, Chongqing, Chengdu), Central Asia, Japan & Middle East etc. Free shuttle bus services from KL Sentral & Putra World Trade Centre to the exhibition centre throughout the day & evening ! Attractive tour packages & travel deals, discounted air tickets, Information tourism booths from participating countries ie Taiwan, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Korea Malaysian state tourism authorities etc
