Day 7 (Nov 1 2023) Travel itinerary: Yangshuo > Lipu > Hezhou (approx 170km)

Early morning walk (DIY) to downtown near our hotel after my breakfast & prior to our tour bus departure to Lipu, Guangxi.
1) Maling Ancient Village of Timbal (Maling Guzhal National Style Park), Lipu, Guangxi - located in Tongshan Village, Maling Town, Lipu, generations of Dong ethnic minority live here, Dong people excels in making silverwares, entrance fee included in our tour package CNY40 for adult, concession price is CNY20 (50% discount for seniors), managed by Dong ethnic minority,
2) Drum Tower Square, Maling Guzhal, Lipu, Guangxi
3) Guests Greeting Square, Maling Village, Lipu, Guangxi
4) Dong tribal wooden houses built on stilts.
5) Gallery exhibiting pictures of Dong's culture, custom, religious practice, skills & daily life, ethnic words of greeting etc
6) Live demonstration by local Dong staff re the use of silver comb to rid toxins from our body - seeing is believing but at a price !
7) Tourist Centre, Maling Village, Lipu, Guangxi - live demonstrations of silverwares making process, no photography allowed inside the sales / showroom centre, most of the silverwares offered for sales to tourists / visitors were highly priced; prior to committing any purchase, visitors could request the services of showroom staffs using a silver comb to do a gentle rub on either side of your central arm to rid off any toxin from your body ....
8) Pictures of silverwares on sale at the Tourist Centre Showroom - silver spoons, bowls, chop sticks, teapots, combs, bracelets, rings etc all are made of pure silver Ag990 hence these much sought after silver items were highly priced at the showroom ! Need a platinum credit card to standby if you are going all out for any of these purchases ! Needless to say, the use of these silverwares for health benefits come with a price !
9) Souvenir center - saying bye bye prior to our exit from the Maling Guzhal / Ancient Village !
Huangyao Ancient Town, Hezhou, Guangxi - a 1,000 year town, well preserved, the name of Huangyao came from the family names of the local communities who were mainly Huang & Yao, the ancient town was built in the Ming Dynasty, the ares is famous for its mountains with caves, temples, pavilions, ancestor hills, old tress & tables.

11) Guo specialty home made food on sale in front of the Guo Family Ancestral Temple - most of our our tour members bought home packets of ginger candy (CNY15 = Rm9.90) & fragrance mushroom black bean paste (CNY15)

15) East Gate House, Huangyao Ancient Town, Lipu, Guangxi - meet up exit point (18.30) for our tour members after over 2 hours of free & easy wandering around this 1,000 year old ancient town in Guangxi, China !
